The actor, Sylvester Stallone was once so broke and homeless. He slept on the New York streets and bus stations with his dear dog. Things became worse and he became unable to feed the dog. So for both to survive, he had to sell the dog at a liquor store, to a stranger. Sadly, with tears in his eyes, he sold it at $25 only. That night he stayed up crying.

One day, after watching a Muhammad Ali fight, it inspired him to write a movie script called “Rocky”.

Hungry and tired, he stayed awake writing. It was a fantastic script.

 

He tried to sell the script and got an offer for $125,000 for the script. But he had just ONE REQUEST. He wanted to STAR in the movie. He wanted to be the MAIN ACTOR, Rocky. But the studio said NO.

They wanted a REAL STAR. They said he “Looked scraggy and talked funny”. Even though hungry, he left with his script. After a while, the studio agreed knowing that he won’t compromise, they gave him $35,000 for the script and allowed him to star in it!

Five months active after so many years away and inactive!

I was going through the SFI forum this morning and I came across this forum post by Paul Huijs (unedited). I hope it inspires you...read on!

Now here is my story,.. I hope it motivates some people to become (more) active or I hope that with this post some people stop worrying about those "inactive" PSAs and CSAs....I signed up for SFI about 8 years ago because like all I saw it was free and I could earn money

Still dreaming about earning an internet income?

Friends ask me what my business is

This week alone, i had a lot of friends especially on Facebook and people i don't even know asking me about my business. It would be interesting to read the testimonials of our Gold and Platinum Team Leaders. Your three questions were thought provoking that made me want to reply to your questions, although I am neither a Gold nor a Platinum Team Leader.

1) What were you doing before or still doing before joining SFI? 
The year before I joined SFI, I was already being pushed at the edge of the cliff that I had to give up our offline business, which we nurtured for more than a decade with passion, dedication, and hard work.

2) The reason you joined SFI?
I heard that the biggest, most generous source of alternate income for many people is the internet. So, I thought of why not try my luck to make money online.

The story of my first venture to earn online started when I landed on SFI website last November 19, 2010. Although, SFI was the first business opportunity I joined online, yet, regretfully, it was the last one I put my effort into. I have lost the focus. I forgot all about SFI. I got side tracked with social networking sites designed for internet marketers and wandered off to participate in other programs until my plate was full and ended up a master of none.

3) What SFI has done for you since joining for yourself and or family?

The modern day slavery called JOB

Any job you take must be a temporary classroom on your way to your purpose else you are participating and re-enacting 18th century slave trade. One of the most pathetic situations in life is when you spend most of your life achieving the dream of others without achieving yours. You should endeavor to work where your dreams can be achieved because you are sent to work with people NOT for people. Always seek to make your employment a win-win scenario not a favor from your employer.

   

In hindsight, I have come to the conclusion that God does not want you to be employed but to be deployed – to grow the talent(s) that has been deposited inside of you. You have an assignment from God – what you are carrying is too important to be prostituted for a salary. Do not allow someone dictate your value by paying you salary. It is important you see salary for what it is – a stipend to make you comfortable during your study period.
